Badrinath Dham (बद्रीनाथ धाम ) is Hindus four sacred shrines of Char Dham Yatra of Uttarakhand. Every year lakhs of tourist come to this sacred Badrinath town to seek blessings. The original temple was built by king Pururava. Lord Badrinath’s idol was later recovered by Adi Shaknaracharya from nearby lake ‘Naradkund’ and restored back in the temple after carrying out religious rituals. The temple was further restored to its old style in the 19th century by Scindias and Holkars of Maratha dynasty. The best time to visit the shrine is between September to November.
