‘Asthi Pravah’ means to immerse the ashes of a dead body in water. In accordance with the Hinduism our body is formed with five elements named Prithawi (soil), Akash (sky), Vayu (air) and Agni (fire) and after the death this body is dissevered into these four elements. Therefore a dead body is incinerated and it separates into fire, sky and soil. The remaining part (ashes) is immersed in water. People come to this ghat to immerse the ashes and complete the process of cremation of a dead body. Asthi Prawah Ghat is located near the Ganga temple to the south direction.+
